Hello.

Might as well introduce myself.

The name's Erica, but you can call me "Rikki" or "Flame"; and this is me (horrible picture I know lol) I'm known as Flamewing on the Daz forums and QueenFlamewing at deviantART.

I'm a stay at home guardian of my younger half-sister, who was diagnosed as an infant with mild to moderate mental retardation and borderline autism. I suppose one could say that she & I are orphans; our parents are no longer with us physically as my stepfather passed away from Diabetes in 2000 and my mother, unexpectedly, in 2004.

My heart & soul belongs to the most wonderful man in my world...my husband, whom I have been blessed to share 18 delightful years with.  Alas, we have no children of our own...well, not human children.  We share our home with 2 beautiful Huskies and 1 cat.

I currently reside in Northwest Louisiana; but as my husband lovingly teases...I'm a displaced yankee, having grown up in a quaint little city at the foot of the Adirondack Mountains in New York. (Although I have lived most of my youth in Texas.)

Art has always been a part of my life; I was fortunate to have the tutelage of my Grandparents...who both had a passion for the arts.  They always encouraged my creativity, introducing me to all the mediums available, ranging in music, prose, and of course..art.

I've only sold two pieces of my work in my lifetime...both acrylic paintings; but my main goal is to become a published author...if I can ever overcome my hesitancy of actually submitting my stories to publishers.

Once upon a time, I was a gamer; I still play an RPG every now and again...but the thrill of whopping some mega-boss has escaped me. And I'm still pretty much an avid reader, where my interests lay within the fantasy/D&D realm.

My best friend introduced me to the wondrous world of 3D art, and a new monster was created...especially after I discovered the Drow/Dark Elves and that I could produce them in the video game style of 3D.  My days are now filled with rendering scenes, browsing stores, and having her kick me in the behind because I neglect my writing. lol
